Posh Remain Unbeaten After Stalemate
Peterborough United picked up a point from a goal-less draw against play-off hopefuls Brighton and Hove Albion at London Road.Darren Ferguson's men won the first corner kick of the evening and forced the first save from Kuszczak who denied a Danny Swanson drive from the edge of the area.
Posh were given a let-off on 24 minutes as a corner from the right was powered towards goal by Matthew Upson, the effort looked to be touched onto the bar by Olejnik before it was hacked away from danger.
At the other end, Grant McCann fired wide with a speculative volley moments after Tomlin was cautioned for his first foul.
Crofts headed a set-piece over the top after a scrappy spell in the game. Rowe saw a free-kick deflected wide of the target after excellent hold up play by Gayle.
On the stroke of half-time, McCann curled a free-kick over the top after Gayle was again felled by Upson.
Upson headed a corner kick over the bar on 59 minutes as the Seagulls began to dominate.
On 71 minutes, the Posh faithful were in uproar as Tomlin was hacked down by Crofts but incredibly, the referee failed to spot the obvious trip and waved play-on.
On 76 minutes, Rowe somehow failed to convert a low Tomlin cross, firing wide from close-range with the keeper beaten.
On 88 minutes, Posh rattled the crossbar as Crofts diving header from 10-yards cracked against the upright.
