Posh head to the Weston Homes Community Stadium to face Colchester United in the second round of the FA Cup.
Peterborough United have a respite from League One action this weekend as they travel to Colchester United in the second round of the FA Cup.
Darren Ferguson's men visit the Weston Homes Community Stadium on Sunday afternoon (4.30pm) with the tie televised live by BT Sport.
The Posh boss feels that a break from the league has come at the right time for his players, but insists that the U's will be a tough tie for his squad.
'Colchester have a policy of bringing young players through and I believe their Academy has a bigger budget that the first team so credit to them for bringing the players through. I know their manager well from his time at Wrexham and he will have his players ready.
'I think a cup-tie comes at the right time for our players. Both sides will be low on confidence after poor run of results, but we know that a win can give us the confidence boost that we need. It will be a tough test though, it is one of the toughest games we could have faced at this stage of the competition,' Ferguson said.
Marcus Maddison is a doubt for the game due to a combination of an ankle knock and illness while Craig Mackail-Smith and Harry Beautyman are unavailable. Mackail-Smith has been refused permission to participate in the competition by his parent club Brighton and Hove Albion while Beautyman is cup-tied after appearing for Welling United in a preliminary round.
Jack Baldwin and Jon Taylor are out through injury. Erhun Oztumer is pushing for a start.
