Posh host Shrewsbury Town in Sky Bet League One action on Saturday.
Peterborough United go in search of their seventh straight win in all competitions on Saturday when they entertain Shrewsbury Town in Sky Bet League One action at the ABAX Stadium (3pm).
Boss Graham Westley, who was named the November Manager of the Month this week, admits confidence is high in the camp, but his players won't be complacent ahead of a fixture with a side that have collected four points on the road at Wigan Athletic and Sheffield United in recent weeks.
Shrewsbury are set to include three former Posh players in their squad with James Wesoloski, Tyrone Barnett and Nathaniel Knight-Percival in their ranks. Barnett could be in line for a start after scoring twice in a behind closed doors friendly this week.
"Our record against teams in the lower half of the table is very good (eight wins in nine matches), but every team has a threat in League One and Shrewsbury are certainly no different.
“My players have been outstanding in recent weeks, but we can get better, and we will need to get better if we are to make the next step and challenge for the top two.
“We can’t slacken, we can’t slow down, because if we do we will be burnt. This is an exciting time to be involved with Peterborough United. The aim now is to keep our good run going for as long as possible," Westley said.
The Posh boss has a number of fitness concerns ahead of the game with Jermaine Anderson, Jon Taylor and Martin Samuelsen all doubts. Anderson and Taylor were both forced off against Luton Town while Samuelsen picked up a knock playing for West Ham United under 21s on Monday evening.
Ahead of Saturday's game, the Cathedral Choir will entertain supporters with Christmas carols while Santa Claus will also be in attendance. The Choir will also perform in the South Stand concourse during the half-time interval.
Tickets for the game can be purchased at www.theposhtickets.com, via the Ticketmaster hotline 0844 8471934 and in person at the ABAX Stadium Box Office.
