Posh boss believes the FA Cup 'rewards the brave' ahead of the Emirates FA Cup tie with Luton.
Peterborough United manager Graham Westley believes the FA Cup 'rewards the brave' ahead of Sunday's second round with Sky Bet League Two side Luton Town at the ABAX Stadium (2pm).
Westley has good history in the competition and admits he would love to take Posh on a good cup run but is not looking further than the clash with John Still's Hatters.
'This club wants a cup run and it is the responsibility of myself and the players to provide it. This competition suits the brave teams who like to attack so it should suit us and we are all looking forward to a very exciting game on Sunday.
'I have had plenty of good moments in this competition and one very bad one, but this is about Sunday and how we perform. My focus is on us maintaining our standards and if we do that we will have a great chance of making the third round,' Westley said.
Luton goalkeeper Mark Tyler will return to his former club on Sunday and admits that it is a 'dream tie' for him and his family.
'Whenever there’s been a cup draw I’ve always said I wanted to go back there. You always want to go back to your previous clubs, especially to a place where you spent a large part of your career like I did at Peterborough.
'I was sitting on the sofa with my wife watching the draw. When Peterborough came out we said to each other ‘that would be nice’. Seconds later with both jumped off the sofa! My phone then went mental for about an hour.'
The game is ALL-TICKET for supporters with tickets on sale at www.theposhtickets.com, via the Ticketmaster hotline 0844 847 1934* and in person at the ABAX Stadium Box Office.
