Posh 1-0 Leyton Orient
Dave Robertson became the first Peterborough United manager to claim three league victories in his first three league games in charge since Norman Rigby back in season 1967-1968 as a goal from Jon Taylor earned a 1-0 win over Leyton Orient. Both sides took a little time to settle in the difficult conditions with a blustery wind and a dry pitch not exactly conducive to free-flowing football.
Gary Sawyer couldn't keep his half volley down on 22 minutes, the left-back's effort flying over the crossbar.
On 26 minutes, Posh opened the scoring and for the second time this season, winger Jon TAYLOR found the back of the net with an attempted cross, this time it sailed over Cisak and found the top corner of the net. His previous effort came at Gillingham in similar circumstances.
Vincelot fired over from 30-yards after a neat lay-off from Dagnall as the O's tried to respond. Orient appealed in vain for handball against Smith on 37 minutes, but the ball was smacked against the full back who couldn't get out of the way.
On 43 minutes, Mclean headed a Ntlhe cross over the bar from eight yards. Newell then tested Cisak with a left-foot curler which the keeper caught.
One minute of added time was signaled by the fourth official, but nothing of note occurred during that period.
Posh made a change at the interval with Marcus Maddison replacing Newell on the left of midfield. Mooney was denied by a well placed Alnwick on 48 minutes after wriggling into a bit of space in the penalty area.
On 54 minutes, Alnwick made a superb reaction stop to tip over an effort from McAnuff before Henderson replaced Mooney for the visitors.
Dean Cox was introduced by Orient for McAnuff before Luke James replaced Mclean as Dave Robertson made his second substitution of the afternoon.
On 67 minutes, James was expertly denied with the feet by Cisak but from the resulting set-piece, the goalkeeper was scrambling as the ball bounced on the six-yard box, but Posh couldn't force the ball home.
Three minutes later, substitute Cox was inches away from levelling as his low shot rolled just past the far post as Posh failed to clear their lines.
Skipper Jack Payne saw an effort from 25-yards beaten away by Cisak after good work down the right from James and Maddison.
Romain Vincelot was taken off on a stretcher on 75 minutes and departing the field after a length stoppage of over seven minutes. Marvin Bartley replaced the midfield man.
Josh Wright volleyed wide of the target after a Zakuani header only reached the edge of the area. On 89 minutes, Maddison was shown a red card for a foul on O'Neill, an incredible decision on first viewing as the winger appeared to win the ball.
Ten minutes of added time was signaled in the melee that followed. Bostwick fired a 30-yard volley just over the bar as the home crowd got behind their players once again.
