Posh host Barnsley in Sky Bet League One action on Tuesday evening.
Peterborough United entertain Lee Johnson's Barnsley at the ABAX Stadium on Tuesday evening (7.45pm) with Graham Westley's men looking to make it four wins from four in all competitions.
The Tykes were on a shocking run of form with eight defeats in a row, but they arrested that slide with a last-gasp victory at Oldham Athletic in their last Sky Bet League One fixture.
Posh were 5-1 winners at Crewe Alexandra on Saturday taking their goal tally to 36 in 13 games an average of 2.75 per game. Posh are the leading goalscorers in all four division and Westley is expecting another entertaining encounter.
'We want to be open, we want to be entertaining and I think the statistics demonstrate that we are just that at the minute. I reckon we had 33 shots on goal and 17 corners at the weekend and scored five goals, so we still have plenty of room for improvement because we should have scored more goals.
'We face a Barnsley side who have strengthened with some good loan signings in recent weeks and they picked up a win at Oldham at the weekend, but it is not about the opposition, it is about what we can do. I said ahead of Crewe that if we play to our capablities, we would win the game and the same applies on Tuesday,' Westley said.
The Posh boss is without the services of defender Jack Baldwin who is serving the final match of a three-match suspension and Ricardo Almeida Santos, who collected his fifth booking of the campaign on Saturday. Gabi Zakuani is expected to miss out with a hamstring injury.
Kgosi Ntlhe, Joe Gormley and Shaun Brisley are all long-term absentees but Harry Anderson and Harry Beautyman are now fit again after injury and are pushing for places.
Barnsley are set to include one-time Posh loanee Lloyd Isgrove in their starting line-up. Isgrove is currently on-loan at Oakwell from Southampton.
Tickets for the game remain on sale at www.theposhtickets.com, via the Ticketmaster hotline 0844 847 1934 and in person at the ABAX Stadium Box Office.
