Our match sponsors for the Checkatrade Trophy tie with Norwich have donated their hospitality package to charity.
Peterborough United entertain a Norwich City side at the ABAX Stadium in the Checkatrade Trophy on Tuesday evening (7.30pm) and our sponsors for the evening, Heritage Leisure Design are auctioning their hospitality package for charity with all money raised going to the Peterborough Soup Kitchen.
The package is for 10 people and includes a three-course meal, a stadium tour, a chance to meet the players, select the Man of the Match and present the match ball to the referee ahead of kick-off. Guests also recieve a free match day programme, a team-sheet, half-time tea/coffee and cakes and parking.
It will be a silent auction with all bids to be emailed to commercial@theposh.com. The winner of the bid will be notified by 5pm on Friday.
The Peterborough Soup Kitchen (PSK) has operated since 1983 and in this time has been housed in the Salvation Army Citadel before Queensgate Shopping Centre was built. We operated from a room on the premises of Westgate Church for about 10 years.
More recently we served food from St. Theresa’s, a local homeless day centre in Peterborough city centre. Now we operate from our kitchen in the Millfield Community Centre, off Lincoln Road and distribute food by van. For more information, visit www.peterboroughsoupkitchen.org.uk
