Members of the Posh squad and management team have visited the Children's Ward of the City Hospital.
Peterborough United manager Grant McCann, Head of Coaching Dave Farrell, Player-Coach Mark Tyler, Chief Executive Bob Symns and members of the playing squad visited the Amazon Ward of the City Hospital this week to hand out presents to youngsters spending the festive time away from home.
Michael Smith, Andrew Hughes, Gwion Edwards, Leonardo Da Silva Lopes, Marcus Maddison, Lee Angol, Shaquile Coulthirst and Lee Angol spent time with the children at the club's annual visit to the hospital.
Once again, the football club would like to thank Serpentine Green who kindly paid for the presents, which were purchased from Toys 'R' Us at the shopping centre earlier this week by club secretary Liz Elsom and Kelly McCann.
We were pleased to be joined by Peter Burrow and Mick the Skip on the visit, with Mick George also handing out footballs for patients.
Chief Executive Bob Symns: "Our visit to the Amazon Children’s Ward at Christmas is one of the first and most important dates in the football clubs diary at the start of every season. The Manager and players enjoy playing Santa and the children love beating them when they play the games with them! It’s a lovely occasion and everyone has a wonderful time."
