Mark Tyler has begun his 23rd pre-season campaign of his career.
Pre-season training is never easy, anyone who has watched the footage of the squad going through their paces in the soaring heat of the Portugese Algarve on ThePoshTV will testify that, but there are also plenty of smiles on faces.
One of the biggest smiles is on the face of Player/Goalkeeping Coach Mark Tyler who has begun the 23rd pre-season of his career.
Tyler, who concluded the last campaign in between the sticks after Ben Alnwick picked up an injury, was delighted to see his fellow goalkeepers come back in great shape for the first week of training.
Tyler, speaking to the club's Periscope account (to watch, search for Peterborough United on the app), said: "This is my 23rd pre-season and it doesn't get any easier, but I have always looked after myself and I really enjoy it. We are fortunate that we are in wonderful surroundings here in Portugal, the players have everything they need to put the work in.
"Ben has just signed a new three year deal. It is something that we talked about at the back end of last season and I am really pleased it is all done and dusted. He is one of the best keepers in the league and he has come back in great shape.
"Dion has been working hard, he is still very young, but he is improving all of the time and we will make sure we get him some game time," Tyler said.
