Posh make the journey North to take on Bury.
Peterborough United travel to Bury in Sky Bet League One action tonight (Tuesday 1st March, 7.45pm kick-off) with Graham Westley’s men looking to stop the run of four consecutive League One defeats.Posh welcome back Michael Bostwick into the squad after the former Stevenage-man completed his two-match ban for collecting 10 yellow cards. Posh will make a late decision on the fitness of goalkeeper Ben Alnwick, Jon Taylor, Jack Baldwin, Chris Forrester and Lee Angol before finalising the squad, while striker Joe Gormley and midfielder Jermaine Anderson remain sidelined with long-term injuries.
Last time out, Bury were defeated 3-0 by local rivals Wigan Athletic at the DW Stadium and the Shakers have been dealt a further blow with inspirational defender Nathan Cameron ruled out for the rest of the season with a knee injury.
In the reverse fixture earlier in the season, Bury secured a 3-2 victory at the ABAX Stadium. Posh were dealt a massive blow on 23 minutes when Erhun Oztumer was shown a straight red card. The Shakers then took the lead through Leon Clarke before a Gabriel Zakuani double put Posh ahead. Bury hit back though and equalised through Nathan Cameron before Tom Pope came off the substitutes bench to hit the winner with nine minutes remaining.
The last time Posh visited Bury’s Gigg Lane was in November 2010 when Gary Johnson’s Peterborough United ran out 2-1 winners in an FA Cup second round tie. Goals from Lee Tomlin and Craig Mackail-Smith were enough to see Posh reach round three, with Ryan Lowe scoring the Bury consolation in the second-half.
