Posh travel to the Keepmoat Stadium to face Doncaster Rovers on Saturday.
Peterborough United travel to the Keepmoat Stadium to face Darren Ferguson's Doncaster Rovers in Sky Bet League One action on Saturday (3pm) and with both sides desperate for the three points, it promises to be an entertaining encounter.
Rovers find themselves just outside the drop zone after a poor run of form, while Posh have struggled too since the Emirates FA Cup defeat to Premier League side West Bromwich Albion on penalty kicks.
"It is strange that both sides have really struggled for league form following exits in cup competitions," Westley said. "We know they have been struggling of late, but we need to concentrate on what we can do and how we can influence the game.
"We had a reserve win at Leeds United on Tuesday, a really strong Leeds side, and that was pleasing because a lot of the lads that were involved have been playing in the first team and I think that win was important. The lads have been in good spirits this week and everyone is looking forward to Saturday.
"We know we are going to be backed by a good following of supporters and that is great because we know we haven't given them much to cheer at all of late. Hopefully that will change on Saturday," Westley said.
The Posh boss welcomes back Ben Alnwick from injury while Mark Tyler is also available after a slight back injury. Ricardo Almeida Santos, who played superbly at right back for the reserves in midweek, is also available after suspension.
Martin Samuelsen has been added to the squad after recovering from a calf injury. He featured for the West Ham United under 21s on Wednesday night against Liverpool.
Jermaine Anderson and Joe Gormley are long term absentees but both are progressing well in their rehabiliation.
At 9am on Friday, Posh had sold over 900 tickets for the fixture and they will remain on sale until 3pm on Friday. Doncaster have informed the football club that you can now pay on the day with tickets available at the Club Doncaster Academy which is situated next to the away turnstiles at the Keepmoat Stadium.
