Peterborough United have released a number of players at the conclusion of the campaign.
The Football Club have released a total of six players following the conclusion of the 2015-2016 season.
Defenders Gabriel Zakuani, Shaun Brisley and Andrew Fox and strikers Souleymane Coulibaly, Kyle Vassell and Jack Friend have left the ABAX Stadium after their contracts came to a close.
As Kgosi Ntlhe has rejected two contract offers, he is now available to sign for another club, but compensation will need to be agreed with the football club as he is under the age of 24.
We would like to thank all those players for their efforts on behalf of the football club and wish them well for the future.
Director of Football Barry Fry said: "I would like to personally wish all those players that have been released by the football club well, but I would especially like to thank Gabi Zakuani, who has been a magnificent servant both on and off the pitch to Peterborough United Football Club. I would like to wish him every success in furthering his career. I am sure he will have plenty of options.”
As per club policy, those players entering the last year of their contracts will be placed on the transfer list, however, if the new manager wants these players to have an extension to their contracts, then negotiations will take place.
