Posh 'B' hang on for entertaining win over Stoke City 'B'.
Posh B were looking to get another win on the board as they faced their counterparts from Stoke City. Posh opened the scoring inside the opening 30 seconds and a well worked goal it was too, Jaquite picking out a quick pass to the forward run from Wilcox who used his sole of the foot and toe poke past the Stoke goalkeeper.
The Potters equalised after capitalising on a defence lapse and moments later, City added a second as the Posh defence went awry. Posh got themselves level before the interval, Jaquite receiving the ball, beating his player with a skill and again finished with another toe poked finish.
Mureza fired into the bottom corner to make it 3-2 to the city side before the interval as Stoke were punished for poor defending of their own. Jaquite added a fourth with a tap in after his initial shot was parried by the keeper and Wilcox scored a carbon copy to extend the lead by three. Stoke reduced the arrears on the counter attack and after a poor clearance from goalkeeper Osman, Stoke narrowed the score to one.
Osman made up for his mistake earlier by saving a shot which looked like going into the bottom corner and Posh managed to see the game out.
Posh: Osman, Phillips, Mureza, Jacquite, Buckley, Wilcox, Batten.
