Eric Heath was presented with the first time capsule to go in to the Posh Life Wall as recognition of his life long support of the club.
Yesterday we presented the first time capsule, which will be placed inside the new Posh Life Wall, to our longest serving fan, Eric Heath.Eric attended our first game in 1934 and has been an ever present supporter.
The Posh Life Wall time capsule was presented to Eric by our Under 18 coach Jack Collison in front of Sky Sports News cameras.
Eric said of what he would place inside his time capsule, “I've got loads of memorabilia at home so it's great to be able to put it somewhere that the family can look at in the future.”
His capsule will be placed inside the Posh Life Wall for 25 years and become part of the fabric of the stadium.
The Posh Life Wall is being created to raise much-needed funds for the Posh Academy.
“It's incredible, it's a great idea and it's so good to be able to get some money back into the club for the academy.” Said Jack Collison.
“Peterborough is best known for the players brought through the academy. If you look at the first capsule we've given to Eric who's been here since the club first started in 1934, he's seen so many ups and downs and it really is a great initiative.”
Come along to the Main Stand before the game this Sunday and take a closer look at our BIG display of how the Posh Wall Life will look and also meet the team helping to build the new fan zone in which the wall will stand.
