Peterborough United Ladies v Riverside Ladies
Peterborough United Ladies maintained their unbeaten run in the League with a comfortable 8-0 win against their local rivals, Riverside Ladies. The scoring opened midway in the first half when a lovely through ball from Jenna Lusk split the Riverside defence and allowed Eleanor Boothman to slot home from close range. 10 minutes later Kier Perkins scored the first of her three goals when she slotted home in a goal mouth scramble.
In the second half Eleanor Boothman scored her second and PULFC's third with a half volley from Emma Stevenson's corner. Kier Perkins got her second when she received the ball in the final third and stroked the ball past the despairing dive of the Riverside goalie. 10 minutes later Keir Perkins scored her third in similar fashion when put through on a one on one with the Riverside goalie. Eight minutes later Peterborough United Ladies scored their sixth goal when the mercurial Jess Driscoll struck from 20 yards to send the ball sailing over the despairing Riverside goalkeeper. Substitute, Emily Smith made it 7-0 with a shot that trickled over the line. The Ladies rounded off an excellent afternoon when in the 88th minute Jeorgia Carr made it 8-0 with a well struck shot in the 18 yard box.
Player of the Match was Jess Driscoll whose creativity and skill were simply outstanding.
Northampton Town Ladies Reserves vs Peterborough United Ladies Reserves :
As the first half kicked off Peterborough got off to a fantastic start maintaining possession and playing accurate passes to each other. Northampton struggled to get in to the game to begin with but once they did it was an equal game until Northampton crossed the ball in to the box which led to the opening goal.
Peterborough were not giving up without a fight as they battled hard to get more shots off on goal to increase their chances of getting back in to the game. As Northampton gained possession they achieved their second goal of the game. Peterborough continued to battle hard keeping possession as Lia Richardson played the ball across the box as Kathryn Lusk took a chance on goal and scored!

As the second half got underway both teams battled extremely hard to keep the ball with various shots on goal. Peterborough gained possession and passed the ball around well trying to move up the pitch but Northampton were not giving up and quickly got the ball back to get a shot off on goal scoring their third and final goal of the game.
