Posh host Bury at the ABAX on Saturday lunchtime.
Peterborough United return to Sky Bet League One action on Saturday lunchtime (12pm) with high-flying Bury the opposition at the ABAX Stadium.Grant McCann's men can go fifth with a comfortable home success ahead of the rest of the League One fixtures.
The Posh boss is without the services of right-back Michael Smith who is away on international duty with Northern Ireland.
Midfielders Jermaine Anderson and Brad Inman are still sidelined while striker Lee Angol is now stepping up his training with Head of Sports Science Ben Mackenzie as he moves closer to a return.
Tom Soares and Jacob Mellis are both suspended for the Shakers after collecting their fifth bookings of the season last weekend.
Manager David Flitcroft has revealed right-back Craig Jones suffered a torn thigh muscle in last week's victory at MK Dons and will be out for at least six weeks.
Jones joins fellow defender Nathan Cameron on the the long-term injury list, while centre-back Leon Barnett has not played since September 10 but is understood to be edging closer to a comeback.
McCann has described the fixture as 'tricky'. "We are looking forward to it. This week has been installing a bit of belief back into the squad. I have watched a lot of games in this league and we are not that far away, we know that.
"Bury have proved that if you put a string of results together you can climb the table very quickly. They had won five games on the bounce prior to their last two defeats, so it will be a tricky game for us. However, it is live on TV and a good opportunity for the players," McCann said.
The game is screened live by Sky Sports, the second fixture of the campaign to be live on television.
Tickets are available at www.theposhtickets.com, via the Ticketmaster hotline 0844 847 1934* and in person at the ABAX Stadium Box Office.
Saturday's game will see Posh supporting the Kick it Out campaign with players wearing t-shirts in the warm-up to show their support.
