Posh 'B' side romp to a 5-1 win over Burton Albion.
The Posh 'B' side also made a positive start to the new season with a strong win over Burton A.
They started off poorly, conceding an early goal where a long shot was tipped onto the post by Osman, who couldn’t do much when Burton followed up with a quick rebound.
Soon after, Mureza brought down the ball out of the air, killing off a defender with a great 1st touch, and then went on to toe-poke past the helpless keeper.
Posh pounced again when Wilcox produced a cheeky flick, which was cleared off of the line and into the path of Mureza, who tapped in with ease. Wilcox again was in the action just before half time, where a good solo run helped him in toe-poking past the Burton keeper at the front post.
After the break, Mureza was on fire as he read and brilliantly intercepted a back pass between Burton defenders, and then dribbled past the Burton keeper and in fine style finished to make it 4-1 to the Posh, and completing a hat-trick in the process.
Just before the close of play, Mureza again made good space, took a shot, which was saved well by the Burton keeper, but Mureza was too quick as he pounced to rebound with a tap in. That made it four for Mureza, and a well-deserved 5-1 to Posh B.
