Posh Ladies back to winning ways after comfortable victory.
Peterborough United Ladies got back to winning ways with a comfortable 4-0 win against AFC Leicester Ladies. Peterborough United started well by retaining possession and there were early chances for Kier Perkins and Eleanor Boothman.
It was Perkins though who opened the scoring with a well taken shot in the 17th minute to make it 1-0. Five minutes later Amy Challis made it 2-0 after dribbling past two players and driving the ball past the despairing dive of the Leicester goalkeeper.
In the second half Peterborough United Ladies continued to push forward and search for the third goal and it soon came in the 52nd minute when a great cross from Tash Applegate was met on the volley by Keir Perkins who slammed the ball in the net to make it 3-0. Keir Perkins got her third in the 75th minute when she was able to slot home the ball from close range to make it 4-0. This was a comfortable win for Peterborough United Ladies in difficult conditions. AFC Leicester defended well at times and their goalkeeper made some excellent saves.
