Posh Ladies Reserves record 2-0 victory over Earls Barton.
Earls Barton Ladies kicked off the game with a quick counter attack into Peterboroughs half and the opening exchanges were end to end with both sides looking for the breakthrough.
It wasn't until the 30th minute of the first half where the goals began to commence. Peterborough received a free kick just outside the six yard box. A floated ball from Georgia Bainbridge then found Georgia Carr who effortlessly volleyed the ball into the back of the net.
During the second half Earls Barton came close to equalising the score, from a miss communication error involving Peterborough's back four. However in the 78th minute Peterborough scored their second. A firm diagonal ball, played by Stefanie Thorne, tok out two Earls Barton defenders, which lead to the excellent feet of Lia Richardson who then calmly placed the ball bottom left of the Earls Barton Ladies keeper.
Overall this was a solid team performance from the Peterborough United Ladies team. They fought hard and came out on top with the win. Despite the score Earls Barton Ladies never gave up and continued to battle throughout the entire game.
