Junior Morias bags a brace as Posh snatch 3-2 reserve victory.
The Peterborough United reserves came from behind to secure a 3-2 victory over their Colchester United counterparts at the Mick George Training Academy with recent signing Junior Morias bagging a second half brace.
The visitors were 1-0 up early in the first half, but Morias levelled with a fierce effort into the top corner from 18-yards only for the U's to nudge ahead once more, Tariq Issa scoring his second of the game.
Posh dominated the second period, carving out numerous chances, Adil Nabi, Callum Chettle and Shaquile Coulthirst all going close before the latter nodded home from close-range after a goalmouth scramble which began with a brave effort from young substitute Sam Cartwright.
The Posh management team threw on Matthew Stevens with a few mintues to play and the change worked with Stevens nodding the ball into the path of Morias, who took advantage of a slip from U's keeper George Phillips to drill home with his left-foot into the bottom corner.
Posh goalkeeper Dion-Curtis Henry did make one fine save at 2-2 while new signing Dominic Ball completed 90 minutes at centre back.
Posh: Henry, White, Binnom-Williams, Goode (sub Cartwright), Ball, Nabi, Inman (sub Stevens), Chettle, Samuelsen, Morias, Coulthirst. Unused subs: Elsom, Borg, Freestone.
