Posh head to Plymouth Argyle on Saturday to face one of the division's in-form teams.
Peterborough United make the long journey to Home Park to face Plymouth Argyle in Sky Bet League One action on Saturday (3pm) and with just six games remaining, every point could be crucial between now and the end of the campaign.
Posh go into the clash off the back of a 2-0 victory over local rivals Northampton Town at the ABAX Stadium while Argyle, who have surged up the league table since the turn of the year, were without a fixture on Easter Monday as their game with Scunthorpe United was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.
The two sides faced each other at the ABAX Stadium on the opening day of the season with Posh running out 2-1 winners thanks to goals from Junior Morias and an own goal securing all three points.
TEAM NEWS
Posh could welcome Ryan Tafazolli back into the squad after the defender missed the game on Monday with a hamstring injury. He will travel down to Plymouth with the squad and manager Steve Evans will make a decision on his involvement on Saturday. Alex Penny is injured and won’t feature for Posh.
Plymouth boss Derek Adams is expected to field an unchanged squad for Saturday's League One home clash with Peterborough. Midfielder Antoni Sarcevic is not yet ready to return as he continues to recover from a groin injury. Forward Simon Church is still battling a hip complaint and defender Gary Miller has so far been unable to shake off a hamstring issue.
FROM THE GAFFER
“Plymouth have been on a wonderful run since the turn of the year and they are very much in the mix for the play-offs. We will travel down and prepare right for the game. We have four away games remaining and this is the first of them and we will try and come away with something from the game.”
FROM THE OPPOSITION
“It looks like it could be three places up for grabs and with probably six teams going for them. I think that’s the way it’s going to look between now and the end of the season. Bristol Rovers and Bradford might have a say about that, depending on their run-in. Bradford have got a couple of games in hand so they could still come into the reckoning,” Plymouth boss Derek Adams said.
