Former stars entertain senior citizens at the first monthly event in the Posh Venue.
The first senior citizen event in the Posh Venue on Wednesday proved to be a success with former stars Peter McNamee and Roy Banham talking to those present about their times on and off the pitch at the football club.
The event, which was free to attend and included tea and coffee, took place in the Posh venue between 12pm and 2pm. This event will become a regular one in the calendar on the last Wednesday of each month. The next one is planned on Wednesday 25th March with the time to be confirmed.
Press Officer and organiser Phil Adlam said: “Considering the weather conditions, I was extremely surprised to see so many attend our first event. Peter and Roy not only talked about their careers at the club, but also brought in some mementos from that era. I have taken some of the feedback received on board, as it is the first event, there is always learning to do, but I am really pleased with the response. I would like to thank Peter and Roy and club historian Peter Lane and statistician Mick Robinson for all their help.’
