Latest 'senior citizen' event hailed as a success as guests enjoy talk from Hall of Famer.
The latest Peterborough United ‘senior citizen’ event was a big success with Hall of Famer John Cozens entertaining supporters with tales of yesteryear before club historian Peter Lane quizzed the guests on their memories from the club’s past.
The event, which is now a regular feature in the diary, took place in the Caroline Hand Executive Suite at the ABAX Stadium on Monday lunch-time. Already, guests speakers have included Peter McNamee, Ray Smith, Roy Banham and Peter Deakin and plans are afoot for the November event with Jack Carmichael scheduled to be the speaker (date to be confirmed shortly).
Press Officer and organiser Phil Adlam said: “We have had some really positive feedback on these events, particularly since we have moved into the Caroline Hand Executive Suite. I want to thank Peter for his hard work in ensuring we have regular guest speakers, I know it takes a lot to organise that part of the event.
“The two-hour lunch-time slot is proving popular and remember it is free to attend with tea and coffee provided, so if you have yet to come down, get it in your diary for our next event!”
