Junior Posh party at the Weston Homes Stadium a success.
The Weston Homes Stadium played host to the Junior Posh Christmas Party on Tuesday evening with over a hundred children getting the opportunity to meet the first team squad, mascots and our special guest, Father Christmas.
As in previous years, the event was held across three rooms with Peter Burrow, Mick the Skip, Peeby from Princebuild and Hockey Dog from the Peterborough Phantoms were in charge of entertainment in the Caroline Hand Executive Suite, regularly requesting tunes from the DJ to show off their dancing skills.
Also in the Executive Suite were players from the Phantoms Ice Hockey team, Hayley, our resident face-painter with match day announcer David Fuller our compere for the evening.
The first team squad were in attendance in the Sponsors Lounge with groups of 10 making their way through to get autographs and pose for pictures with their favourite stars.
Then it was into the Boardroom to meet Father Christmas, who had a special goodie bags for the Junior Posh members. The goodie bags were also boosted by a donation from Smyths Toys. Organiser Phil Adlam said: “Once again, it was a wonderful turn out and I hope that everybody who attended enjoyed themselves. Without writing a thank you speech, it would remiss of me not to thank everybody who helped make the evening run smoothly.
“Those members of staff give up their time to come and help and it is really appreciated. I would also like to thank the hospitality team for the hard work they put into the evening. I know that the mascots are very tired at the end of this particular evening, so a big thank you to them too!”
