Peterborough United entertain Plymouth Argyle at the ABAX Stadium on Saturday afternoon (3pm).
Darren Ferguson takes charge of his first game back at the ABAX Stadium on Saturday afternoon as Plymouth Argyle visit in Sky Bet League One action (3pm) and both clubs will be keen for the three points for differing reasons.
Posh currently lie in sixth place in the table and a victory against the Pilgrims would consolidate that position in the play-off positions. Argyle, rather like last year, have enjoyed a decent run of form since the turn of the year and have started to pull clear of the relegation zone, but they know a defeat at the ABAX could put them back in danger.
TEAM NEWS
Posh are without the services of central defender Ryan Tafazolli as he sits out the third of his three-match suspension. New signing Josh Knight goes straight into the squad after completing a loan move from Leicester City on transfer deadline day.
Plymouth strengthened their squad with the arrival of Lloyd Jones in a loan deal while ex-Posh centre back Peter Grant has departed for Carlisle United. Conor Grant, Joel Grant and Jamie Ness have been ruled out due to injury.
FROM THE GAFFER
“I am looking forward to the game and for us now it is about getting wins on the board. We have a 16-game season and we know what is required. It is about what we do. I was pleased to get Josh into the building on deadline day, he ticks a lot of boxes and we look forward to working with him,” Darren Ferguson said.
