Job Title: NCS/Women & Girls Assistant
Reports to: NCS/Women & Girls Manager (jenna.lusk@theposh.com)
Type of Position: Full-time
Hours: Daytime, Evening and/or weekend sessions, including residential stays
Job Purpose:
To lead in the delivery, monitoring and evaluation of high-quality football and sports coaching sessions within our schools, school holiday camps and development centres.
To lead and assist with the operational aspects and delivery of the NCS programme
Key Skills and Experience Required: ESSENTIAL
To hold a minimum FA Coaching Football Level 2 Qualification
Hold a full clean driving license and have access to a vehicle to enable service delivery at different venues.
Experience of coaching within a school/club environment
Have an understanding of Safeguarding issues
Have the ability to assist in supervising and managing a group of young people.
Good understanding of the NCS programme
Proven planning and organisational skills.
To hold a current Safeguarding and protecting children certificate
Emergency First Aid Certificate
FA Coaching License Coaches Club Member
Key Skills and Experience Required: DESIRABLE
Level 3 Coaching Football – (UEFA B)
FA Youth Module 1, 2 and 3 + Assessment
Experience of coaching within a professional football/futsal club environment
First Aid at Work Qualification
Mental Health Training
Specific Responsibilities
To lead in the delivery of high-quality sports sessions to girls aged 5+
To provide a supporting role at a range of events and competitions as required.
To support the marketing and promotion of NCS related activities
Keep accurate up to date filing systems, data and records relating to the programme
To undertake project evaluation and monitoring as required.
To plan, implement and assist on the National Citizen Service (NCS) project and lead on the residential and social action elements of the project.
To book all necessary venues, activities and arrange other resources needs – for example Residential Centres, transportation and equipment/kit.
To adopt a flexible approach to ensure all sessions are innovative and provide each individual person with the opportunity to develop.
Implement the Community administrative procedures and safeguarding policies.
To attend related networks, meetings and NCS events, supporting partnership and sharing good practice.
To be able to use your own initiative and work as part of a team.
Ensure health and safety procedures are implemented, and recorded as required.
Attend any relevant training requirements for example, first aid, safeguarding vulnerable adults and children.
