Posh head north to face Blackpool in Sky Bet League One action on Saturday.
Peterborough United make the journey north west to face Blackpool in Sky Bet League One action on Saturday afternoon (3pm), with Darren Ferguson’s men looking to consolidate their position in the table with two fixtures on the road in the upcoming days.
The Seasiders are always a tricky proposition, particularly at Bloomfield Road and Simon Grayson’s men will test a Posh rear-guard which has kept six clean sheets in League One, one shy of the current leaders in that particular statistic.
TEAM NEWS
Young midfielder Kyle Barker is the only doubt for Posh. He finished Thursday’s training session early due to a slight muscle injury. Other than that, Darren Ferguson has a fully fit squad to choose from for the trip to the Seasiders.
The hosts are expected to reinstate Armand Gnanduillet to their starting line-up after a positive reaction in a substitute appearance in their last fixture. Liam Feeney is currently ahead of Marcus Maddison in the assists chart and they have real threats from wide areas.
FROM THE GAFFER
“Any away fixture is a tough game and any trip to Blackpool is always a tricky one. They have good players, particularly in wide areas and we know that we have to try and affect our game on them. It is the start of a busy week for us with three games away from home, two in the league. We know that with a bit of a stop-start November in the league, it is important that we give everything we have in the next two games, starting at Blackpool and try and get as many points on the board as we can,” Darren Ferguson said.
