The Academy are recruiting a Senior Scout for Lincolnshire.
Job Title: Academy Senior Scout Lincolnshire
Reports to: Head of Academy Recruitment
Type of Position: Part Time
Hours: Minimum of 2 Games per week
Job Purpose
To assist with the recruitment of players at Peterborough United FC across the Foundation Phase, Youth Development Phase and Professional Development Phase.
To assist with finding new scouts and partner clubs in the Head Scouts designated area. Also working with scouts who are currently in the area.
Job Overview
The job holder will be responsible for finding talented players in their designated area capable of playing for Peterborough United Academy. Watching games from foundation phase up to professional development phase on a weekly basis. The Head Scout will have to produce match reports on fixtures watched detailing stand out players.
Key Skills and Experience Required: ESSENTIAL
Knowledge of local area.
Understanding of academy standard players.
Understanding of potential academy players.
The FA Talent ID level 1
Previous scout experience.
Key Skills and Experience Required: DESIRABLE
Links with local grassroots teams.
Links with development centres and elite squads.
The FA Talent ID Level 2
Experience working within Academy Football.
Experience of managing a group of staff.
Main Duties and Key Responsibilities
To attend weekly fixtures in the Foundation Phase and Youth Development Phase mainly focusing on grassroot game or development centre fixtures. Also, there will be times to observe other Academy games.
To attend Professional Development Phase fixtures, Head of Academy Recruitment will notify the Head Scout which games to attend.
Identify players across all three phases that are capable of playing for Peterborough United FC Academy then refer these players to Head of Academy Recruitment.
Weekly match reports on fixtures attended outlining stand out players and further actions.
Work closely with scouts within the Head Scouts area. If scouts refer a player for Academy trials the Head Scout will be responsible to go and watch the player before being invited in for a trial with the academy.
Build positive links with grassroot clubs.
Build positive links with development centres.
Build positive links with key contacts.
Refer grassroot clubs to join the partner club initiative then build the link with the Head of Academy Recruitment making sure all areas of the initiative are met.
