The Posh Academy are looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our team at what is an exciting time for the football club and academy. With the pathway open to the players at 1st team level and the plans for the academy to progress to Category 2 status, there has never been a better time to work for the football club.
The appointed individual will be responsible for helping to develop the next crop of academy graduates at the football club, working specifically with foundation phase players (U9s-U11s).
Job Title: Foundation Phase Academy Coach
Reports to: Foundation Phase Lead Coach & Head of Academy Coaching
Type of Position: Fixed Term
Hours: 2 training sessions 1 game day per week.
Job Purpose
To develop talented young footballers through the utilising of the academy methodology.
To contribute to the delivery of two coaching sessions and one game day per week during the season.
Job Overview
The job holder will be responsible for contributing to the management and development of foundation phase players (U9-U11) within the academy. The job holder will be required to work with the other coaching staff to plan and deliver two coaching sessions per week and lead the squad on a match day. The job holder will be responsible for assisting with the uploading of all information required to the Performance Management Application.
The job holder will be responsible for assisting the academy in meeting EFL rules and mandatory requirements to ensure that through technical visits and match observations the Academy meets Elite Player Performance Plan (EPPP) requirements for a Category 3 academy.
The job holder will be required to work closely with the other members of academy staff.

Main Duties and Key Responsibilities
To work with the other coaching staff to deliver effective coaching sessions to the players.
To help maintain a positive and safe learning for the children.
To maintain accurate records of training and match outcomes using the Performance Management Application.
To attend and contribute to the departments in service CPD programme.
To ensure the Performance Management Application is up to date, including the addition of Individual Development Plans for players.
To support the Head of Recruitment in the recruitment of players.
To create positive links with local grassroots clubs.
To adopt a flexible approach to ensure all activities are safe and enjoyable and are inclusive.
Take part in all available CPD opportunities to gain further knowledge and increase the high standards of delivery.
To be able to use your own initiative and work as part of a team.
Ensure health and safety procedures are implemented and recorded as required.
Attend any relevant training requirements e.g. first aid, safeguarding children.
Assist with parent communication.
Assist in the arrangement of additional fixtures when necessary.
Assist in arranging and delivering player review meetings for your specific squad.
