Gill Wignall has been appointed as the Posh Foundation Chief Executive.
The Peterborough United Foundation have appointed Gill Wignall as their new Chief Executive with immediate effect.
Andy Palmer, chairman of the Board of Trustees, said: “I’m delighted that Gill has taken on the challenge of being the Posh Foundation Chief Executive. Gill has lots of experience in the game and at the Foundation as our Operations Manager.
“The Foundation is looking to continue to develop our links with community groups and fans to improve wellbeing and I’m pleased Gill will be leading us on the journey.”
Gill was delighted to be taking the post and is looking forward to the challenges ahead. “I am honoured to be given this opportunity to continue the good work of the Foundation. Having worked within the department for many years now, I know first hand how dedicated the staff are to the job and how highly thought of the Foundation is within the local community.
“We are living through unprecedented times at the minute and the work of football clubs up and down the country often goes unnoticed. As the EFL ‘Family Club of the Year’ for League One, we want to build on that title and continue to support organisations and schools across the Greater Peterborough area.”
