Posh Women swoop for Cassie Steward as recruitment drive ahead of the new season continues.
The Peterborough United Women have made their fourth signing of the week with the arrival of Cassie Steward from Peterborough Northern Star. Steward follows in the footsteps of Jess Driscoll, Ellen Marson and Megan Breakwell in committing their future to the club.
Steward, who has an enviable goal record from her time with Star, is set to play a little deeper in her role for the Posh Women, but has already made a big impression during pre-season. Manager Chloe Brown said: “Cassie is a fantastic player. She wants to take on board information, she wants to work hard and she is a really intelligent footballer.
“I think she will bring experience as well as quality. She will command that midfield area, she will score goals and she is an excellent addition to the squad. I have had the opportunity to work with her before and I know that she will settle in quickly.”
Cassie is proudly sponsored by Alistair Wade for the forthcoming campaign. We thank Alistair for his wonderful support.
