The Schools Initiative gathering pace with over 55 schools now receiving a visit from the Football Club.
We are fast approaching Christmas and Bobby Copping, who delivers the interactive assemblies, and special guest Peter Burrow have visited over 55 schools, engaging with future fans, providing a fun start to the day and handing out FREE tickets to a forthcoming Sky Bet Championship fixture.
The pair have also shown their versatility by conducting a number of assemblies over Zoom at the schools request and they have proved just as popular with the children getting to see exactly where they would be enjoying the match from.
Whilst a large proportion of games at the Weston Homes Stadium include a sizeable travelling away support, the club have identified a number of fixtures where supporters occupying the Deskgo Stand are from the Schools Initiative.
Since the last update on the initiative, the duo have travelled across a number of counties visiting schools including Bury Church of England Primary, Cromwell Academy, Eye C of E, Clarkson Infant and Nursery School, Nenegate School, Corby Glen Primary and Deeping St James as well as many more.
Copping said: “We have now reached the total of 55 Primary Schools that we have conducted an assembly for and we have many more to do before Christmas. Some schools have preferred us to do them across Zoom, which we have been happy to do. The assembly features a short DVD, plenty of fun and interaction, a visit from Peter and much more and we give every school that we visit tickets so that all of the pupils can attend a match at the Weston Homes Stadium free of charge and that includes one adult too!”
