The Peterborough United Academy hosted representatives from the Korean FA last week as part of the NEXT LEVEL project, which is focused on creating a player development-orientated youth system, marking an exciting new chapter for Korean football.
Posh Academy Strength and Conditioning Coach Taewoong Kim, who arranged the visit to the idverde Training Ground, said: "I am proud that Peterborough United could play a role as a cornerstone in the development of this youth system.
"As a Korean, it feels meaningful to be here, learning and sharing valuable insights that I hope will help shape the next generation of players back home.
"While I know that meaningful change in youth development will take time, I am honoured to contribute, even in a small way to a process that I believe will lead to lasting improvements in the way young talent is nurtured.
"The knowledge and experiences shared during this visit have the potential to make a significant impact on the future of Korean football, and I look forward to seeing the positive changes unfold."
Posh Academy Director Dan Robinson said: "It was great to welcome four senior staff members from the Korean FA last week on a fact finding mission to see how the best Academies in the UK develop young players with a view to grow the game in their own country. It was a pleasure to have them and credit to our sports science coach Taewoong Kim for arranging the visit. We hope to return the opportunity with a trip to South Korea in the near future."
