Covid-19 restrictions not stopping Posh duo as they adapt to Zoom assemblies as Schools Initiative continues.
We are fast approaching Christmas and Bobby Copping, who delivers the interactive assemblies, and special guest Peter Burrow have visited over 70 schools, engaging with future fans, providing a fun start to the day and handing out FREE tickets to a forthcoming Sky Bet Championship fixture.
Nearly 2,000 present at the recent 0-0 draw with Barnsley were here because of the Schools Initiative and despite the ongoing pandemic, the duo are not letting up in their pursuit to engage with as many future fans as possible with assemblies, in the main, now being conducted on Zoom.
Whilst a large proportion of games at the Weston Homes Stadium include a sizeable travelling away support, the club have identified a number of fixtures where supporters occupying the Deskgo Stand are from the Schools Initiative including the Boxing Day meeting with Reading.
Copping said: “We have now reached the total of 70 Primary Schools that we have conducted an assembly for and we have many more to do before Christmas. Some schools have preferred us to do them across Zoom, which we have been happy to do. The assembly features a short DVD, plenty of fun and interaction, a visit from Peter and much more and we give every school that we visit tickets so that all of the pupils can attend a match at the Weston Homes Stadium free of charge and that includes one adult too!”
