Axten becomes the latest player to have agreed terms for next season.
Peterborough United Women are delighted to announce that midfielder Rosie Axten has put pen to paper and has agreed terms with the club for the 2023/24 FA Women’s National League campaign.
Axten, who signed for the club in March from Stoke City Women and made five appearances, becomes the latest player to have committed her future with the club for the upcoming campaign.
The midfielder, who also suffered a small injury upon joining Posh, was pleased to have signed terms and is looking forward to a full season at the club, helping the club progress even further on the pitch.
“I’m really excited for next season,” Axten said. “The last campaign was hampered by an injury after joining and didn’t have that many games to show what I’m truly capable of, but looking forward to getting a proper run of games, showing what I can do and score as many goals as possible.
“I have enjoyed my experience so far at the club, but it was obviously very frustrating to have suffered that injury when I just wanted to enjoy my football. However, I have just been focused on the upcoming campaign, going out on runs and one-to-one sessions to make sure I’m ready for pre-season.
“After joining halfway through a season, I haven’t been able to build that relationship with the rest of the squad as much as I wanted to, so with the pre-season camp and fixtures coming up, it will be a great opportunity to create that bond with everyone. I’m just excited to get back going and get the new campaign started."
