Posh host Charlton Athletic at the Weston Homes Stadium on Saturday afternoon (3pm).
Peterborough United welcome Charlton Athletic to the Weston Homes Stadium on Saturday afternoon (3pm) in Sky Bet League One action, the first home league game of the new campaign for Darren Ferguson’s men after victories at Reading before the penalty success over Swindon Town in the Carabao Cup.
The Addicks were knocked out of the cup by Sky Bet League Two outfit Newport County, but they picked up three points on the opening day thanks to a narrow 1-0 victory over local rivals Leyton Orient at the Valley.
Charlton have strengthened their squad considerably in the summer and will be among the favourites for a promotion push this term. Alfie May, Panutche Camara and Lloyd Jones are among their eye-catching arrivals with former former Posh defender Dean Holden at the helm.
Charlton supporters will be accommodated in the Deskgo Stand for this fixture with over 1,500 tickets already sold to the visitors. The Weston Homes London Road End will be open for the first time this season with tickets available for Posh fans at www.theposhtickets.com and via the Weston Homes Box Office.
