Bobby Copping handed new role within the Posh Women set-up.
Alongside delivering a successful schools programme with Peter Burrow, Bobby Copping has also been at the forefront of progressing the Posh Women team off the pitch, and we are delighted to announce that he has now been appointed the Peterborough United Women’s General Manager, stepping up from the operations manager that he took in the summer of 2021.
Copping has already been full flow under his new role, securing sponsorship with Urban Penguin to be the back of short sponsor and XPROP as back of shirt sponsors for the Posh Women while also securing multiple player sponsorships, including for midfielder Beatriz Borque and defender Elloise Copson. He has also secured a sponsor for the stand by the side of the 3G pitch.
Speaking on his announcement, Copping said: “I’m delighted to have been made General Manager. It’s a great step for me going forward in my career in the business management side of things and a massive opportunity for me to continue to progress.”
The Posh Women continue to grow on and off the pitch, from falling under the football club umbrella in June 2021 after several years under the Posh Foundation to making their debut in the FA Women’s National League and currently sitting comfortable at fourth-tier level, Dan Lawlor’s side will look to finish the 2021/22 campaign strongly with full support of Copping as the new General Manager.
