The Posh squad completed arguably one of the toughest sessions of pre-season to date on Tuesday morning.
Footballers accept that during pre-season they will have to do quite a bit of running and unfortunately for the Posh squad on Tuesday morning, that is exactly what was on the agenda.
In the bright Spain sunshine, the squad were split into two groups to complete a gruelling timed run after a series of sprints under the watchful eye of Head of Sports Science Lewis Keeble.
With the bodies no doubt aching , the players went into a technical 'rondo' keep ball session before a timed 'Murderball' where the ball is 'always in play'.
Defender George Nevett said: "That was tough! It was definitely one of the toughest sessions we have had since we have been back.
"It is difficult when you go from the challenge of all the running straight into a technical session, but it is about that concentration."
Winger Abraham Odoh agreed: "You know it is coming, you know you are going to have to do a lot of running because the fitness is what will get you through the season, but it was hard.
"Then to switch straight into a rondo and then the 'Murderball' at the end is a real test of the concentration and the mental strength as well as the physical side of it.
"It was good though, we are working our way through the sessions, improving day by day and we can look forward to the games that are coming, I am certainly looking forward to Friday night to get some minutes under my belt."
