The first session of Day Four in Spain is complete for the Posh squad with just two more sessions before the opening friendly of the campaign.
The Peterborough United players have just two more training sessions remaining before their first pre-season friendly of the campaign against AFC Wimbledon on Friday night with Darren Ferguson's men continuing to work extremely hard at their training camp in Spain.
Session one on day four was all about decision-making. After an extensive warm-up and rondo to get the blood flowing, the squad split into a number of groups with an attack v defence shape.
The attackers always had the extra man on the counter-attack and their job was of course to make the most of the numerical advantage, while the defenders (and goalkeeper) were tasked with restricting chances on goal by communicating and of course, putting their bodies on the line.
Assistant manager Kieran Scarff said: "It was all about decision making in the final third for the attackers, making the most of the advantage that they had, while for the defenders, it was ensuring that didn't happen.
"A lot of planning goes into the sessions and in particular when you get the opportunity to have a camp like we have. It is good to get two sessions in a day and really spend some time with the players on and off the pitch.
"For the newer players, it is good to see how we work and for them to get used to what we demand and it is going well so far."
Defender Emmanuel Fernandez added: "It was about dealing with different scenarios that you might face in a game and the way you stop the opposition and that can come down to good communication with you team-mate or it could be down to the way you defend one v one."
