Posh squad working hard as St. George's Park training camp reaches day three.
The Peterborough United squad have completed day three of their training camp at St. George's Park with the players completing a session on the pitch before a gym session overlooking England's showpiece surface where the national side train when they visit the Staffordshire base.
The pitch session began with the usual warm-ups and possession-based drills before the squad split into two groups with the midfielders and strikers completing an attacking drill while the defenders were put through their paces which included a punishing last-ditch sharp tackling work. The players then completed a gym session before returning to the main building for lunch.
Posh are next in action on Friday when they welcome an unnamed team to St. George's Park for their third pre-season friendly of the campaign.
Defender Emmanuel Fernandez said: "It was tough today as it has been throughout this week, but it is important to put the work in. I have really enjoyed the week so far, it was good to come up against such strong opposition in Leicester on Tuesday, that was a great experience and learning curve."
