Posh full-back James Dornelly made his first start for England's Men's Elite Squad on Tuesday in the 1-1 draw against Poland.
Academy Graduate James Dornelly started for the Young Lions in Poland on Tuesday afternoon, who shared the spoils in Pulway to conclude their November camp.
Dornelly – who was originally on standby for the Young Lions – was called up by Interim Head Coach Paul Nevin and handed the right-back his international debut in Friday’s 4-0 victory over Germany in the European Elite League.
Nevin turned to bench for defensive reinforcements late on in Chesterfield, with Dornelly impressing in his short stint on the pitch in Derbyshire.
The 19-year-old would be rewarded with his second cap for his nation just four days later, which saw the youngster play 90 minutes in the 1-1 draw with Poland, concluding an undefeated camp for the Young Lions.
Dornelly will return to training ahead of Saturday’s clash with Reading at the Weston Homes Stadium, with Posh looking to follow on from the derby-day success a fortnight ago.
Congratulations James!
