Darren Ferguson described the Emirates FA Cup third round draw as 'brilliant' with a trip to Everton to look forward too.
Peterborough United manager Darren Ferguson was delighted with the Emirates FA Cup third round draw with Premier League side Everton awaiting at Goodison Park following the draw at Old Trafford on Monday evening.
The Posh boss gave his reaction to theposh.com shortly after the draw. "It is a great draw and one to really look forward too. You work extremely hard to get through rounds one and two in the competition and hope you are rewarded in round three and we have got a good one.
"I was watching all the big teams come out and a lot of them were playing each other and I was wondering whether we would end up missing out on a Premier League side again, but it is a brilliant draw for us to go and test ourselves against an established top tier side."
This is the final season that Everton will be playing at Goodison Park so this will be the final third round tie to be played at the stadium so Posh will have a piece of history regardless of the result.
