Peterborough United Foundation are excited to announce the launch of three new Extra Time Hubs in Yaxley, Huntingdon and Buckden!
We are bringing people in their retirement years together to meet likeminded people, socialise and do the things they enjoy. It includes a friendly weekly social gathering, consisting of social activities, mornings out, exercise sessions, games weeks and the chance to catch up over a cuppa.
We encourage our members to socialise, make connections, to take part in events and activities, to learn and to help. Our members feel part of something special – a supportive social community. They feel happier, better connected, less lonely and are more active than they were before they joined.
Maintaining friendships and being socially active are important to happy healthy ageing. We are helping thousands of people enjoy their retirement years. There are many positive aspects of ageing. Ageing can provide a chance to focus on interests, try new things and to define yourself in fresh terms.
Peterborough United Foundation are launching three new Extra Time Hubs in the coming days – these will take place in Yaxley, Huntingdon and Buckden.
Our Yaxley and Buckden Extra Time Hubs both begin on Friday 16th August, whilst our Huntingdon Hub will have its first session on Wednesday 21st August.
We’re fortunate to have the backing of Cambridgeshire County Council as part of the Seed Funding from the Care Together Programme 2024/2025 and we’re extremely grateful for their support in enabling us to launch these sessions.
So, if you’d like to become a member of any of our Extra Time Hubs, please email Emily.Purbrick@theposh.com and she’ll be delighted to assist you!
