Minute Silence

Ahead of Saturday's 0-0 draw with Leyton Orient, the stadium fell silent to remember former Manchester United star Denis Law.

Peterborough United Director of Football Barry has led the tributes to former Manchester United star Denis Law, who sadly passed away at the age of 84.

Law, who made over 300 appearances for United before joining Manchester City, also made 55 appearances for Scotland, scoring 30 times.

Fry said: "I was very lucky to be at Manchester United for about four years and during that time, I was fortunate to be there with George Best, Bobby Charlton and Denis Law.

"We lost George and then Bobby and now we have lost Denis. When I heard about the news about Denis, I cried because he was such a wonderful person.

"Everyone remembers Denis, the footballer, but he did me a lot of personal favours and helped me throughout my time at United. Denis was unique, he was always jovial but when he crossed that white line, he was a winner.

"Off the pitch, he always had a smile on his face, he loved football, he loved doing what he worked so hard to do. It was important for us to pay our respects on Saturday with the period of reflection. My condolences go out to Denis' family and friends."
