A look ahead to Tuesday night's Sky Bet League One clash at Bloomfield Road against Blackpool (7.45pm).
Peterborough United make the long journey north to face Blackpool at Bloomfield Road on Tuesday night (7.45pm) with Darren Ferguson's men aiming to win three games on the bounce in the league for the first time this season.
Posh go into the game on the back of a 1-0 away success at Huddersfield Town, a memorable penalty shoot-out success over Wrexham in the Vertu Trophy and an eventful 3-1 home victory over Shrewsbury Town at the Weston Homes Stadium.
Blackpool were beaten 2-1 by promotion-chasing Stockport County at Edgelely Park on Saturday with Ashley Fletcher on target for the Seasiders in a game they will feel unfortunate to take nothing from.
TEAM NEWS
Defender Emmanuel Fernandez remains unavailable due to suspension while Rio Adebisi is a long-term absenteee, however there is better news on striker Gustav Lindgren and defender Carl Johnston with both now available for selection. Kwame Poku is unlikely to feature at Blackpool with boss Ferguson intimating a full week's training would be more beneficial ahead of the clash with Wycombe Wanderers at the Weston Homes Stadium on Saturday afternoon (3pm).
Mahamadou Susoho is pushing for a start after impressing from the substitutes bench in recent weeks, while Bradley Ihionvien is expected to keep his place after leading the line well against the Shrews.
Tom Bloxham is unlikely to feature due to a calf problem while Matthew Pennington is another searching for full fitness. Former Posh loanee Hayden Coulson is set to start at left-back for the Seasiders.
MANAGER QUOTE
"Last week was a great week for us, but this week is just, if not more, as important. We have set the standards with our results and performances in the last three and we can't fall short of those. We said ahead of those three games that football can change quickly, we need to make sure it doesn't go the other way this week. Blackpool are well managed, they have changed to a back three in recent weeks, so we will have to be ready. They have some good attacking players, so we will have to defend well," Ferguson said.
