A look ahead to our Sky Bet League One clash against Huddersfield Town on Saturday.
Peterborough United return to Sky Bet League One action on Saturday afternoon with a trip to the John Smith's Stadium to face Huddersfield, with a kick-off 3pm.
Last Time Out Posh secured a point away from home against Stevenage at the Lamex Stadium. Despite going behind in the second half, a Cian Hayes strike levelled the score in the 67th minute.
The Terriers were last in action on Tuesday night winning 1-0 at Shrewsbury Town thanks to a late Josh Koroma goal.
TEAM NEWS
Posh are without defender Emmanuel Fernandez who is completing the second game of a four-match ban is suspended. Long-term absentee Rio Adebisi is unavailable whilst injured trio Kwame Poku, Gustav Lindgren and Jadel Katongo will not be in contention but have a good chance of returning next Saturday for our home fixture with Shrewsbury Town.
Bradley Ihionvien is available for selection again following a run out for the Under 21s last week.
Huddersfield Town could be unchanged from their midweek win over Shrewsbury Town, with attackers Danny Ward, Rhys Healey and Joe Taylor and defenders Nigel Lonwijk, Ruben Roosken and Mickel Miller likely remaining sidelined by injuries.
MANAGER QUOTES
Ahead of the game Darren Ferguson said: "Another tough away game but we have to be positive, we have to go and play the way we want to play. Try and take the game to them, if we can, we know they are a good team, they’ve had back-to-back wins, but we have to go there and be aggressive."
ONE TO WATCH
Josh Koroma
With seven goals this season, Josh Koroma (pictured) is top of the goalscoring charts for Huddersfield Town alongside Ben Wiles who has also found the net seven times. The Sierra Leone international started his career in East London with Leyton Orient spending four seasons with the club and culminating in a National League promotion winning season in 2018/19. In that title winning campaign he scored 11 league goals, which secured him a move to the EFL with Championship side Huddersfield.
In the same season he was also a runner-up in the FA Trophy as Orient almost completed a double.
In his first season with the Terriers he spent a season month period on loan in the League One with Rotherham United, returning to Huddersfield in 2020/21 completing a successful season in the Championship personally scoring eight goals in just 20 appearances.
Koroma spent a season on loan with Portsmouth in 2022/23 and made his first appearance for Sierra Leone on the 10th June 2024 in the CAF Qualifiers First Round for the World Cup 2026 against Burkina Faso having previously represented England C.
