Posh Under 18s are back in Professional Development League action on Saturday (11am) as Jimmy Unwin’s side travel Humberside to face Hull City.
Hull City is the task at hand for our youngsters on Saturday morning, who travel North for their final outing of the calendar year.
Posh have been without a match since the victory over Ipswich Town on November 22, after last weekend’s fixture against Burnley was postponed due to player safety concerns.
The three-week break has allowed Unwin time to revitalise his squad ahead of Saturday, who will be looking to rebuild the momentum against the Tigers.
Our opponents, Hull, have played three times since our trip to Suffolk, losing on all three occasions - including the most recent defeat at Sheffield United.
TEAM NEWS
There are no fresh injury concerns ahead of Saturday, with Max Beech and Milan Kovaci set to miss out as expected.
Fabian Claxton is unavailable for selection after the defender recently joined Felixstowe & Walton on an initial one-month loan move.
THE OPPOSITION
Jim O’Brien’s side sit fourth in Group A having picked up seven wins, three draws and four losses so far this campaign. The Tigers head into the bout winless in five, including back-to-back cup exits and the most recent defeat to United.
FROM THE MANAGER
“We’re looking forward to Saturday – it’s the last game before Christmas so we’re hoping we finish on a good performance. We’ve not been able to build on the Ipswich game which is a bit disappointing, but it’s one of the things you have to deal with and we’re looking to produce on Saturday,” manager Jimmy Unwin said.

Updates of the game will be available on The Posh Academy X account, with post-match reaction also on Posh+.
