A look ahead to the Sky Bet League One fixture at Sincil Bank against Lincoln City.
Peterborough United make the relatively short journey to Sincil Bank to face Lincoln City in Sky Bet League One action on Saturday afternoon (3pm) with Darren Ferguson’s men looking to continue their excellent league start to 2024.
Posh go into the game on the back of successive 2-1 home victories over Shrewsbury Town and Crawley Town, the latter in the Bristol Street Motors Trophy, and lie second in the table. The Imps have strengthened their squad during January and will be looking to try and establish themselves in the top 10 of the division.
TEAM NEWS
Posh goalkeeper Nicholas Bilokapic is expected to be in the squad for the clash with the Imps after recovering from injury so Ferguson has a choice to make between the sticks with Fynn Talley and Jed Steer also available.
Kwame Poku and Will Blackmore are both unavailable due to injury, but Ricky-Jade Jones has recovered from a slight knock to his Achilles. Jacob Wakeling is available after missing the win over Crawley as he was cup-tied.
The Imps are expected to field the same XI against Posh from their last fixture with Joe Taylor and Freddie Draper set to lead the line.
ONE TO WATCH
It is hard to ignore Joe Taylor (pictured below). The youngster was plucked from non-league and performed admirably during his time at Posh in the under 21s and also caused problems when he was in and around the first team set-up. With pace to burn, Taylor has represented Wales at under 21 level and he earned a move to Luton Town and helped them to promotion to the Premier League.
FROM THE MANAGER
“Lincoln have changed a little bit of late because they have strikers available and those strikers are a handful. We know a lot about Joe, he has plenty of pace and he created three chances for himself against Derby County last weekend. I am sure it will be a good atmosphere, it always is at Sincil Bank and that is not just our supporters, but the home fans as well. We need to keep them quiet,” Darren Ferguson said.
TICKET NEWS
The game is a sell-out for Posh fans with 1,900 making the trip to Lincolnshire. A crowd of over 10,000 is expected. No tickets are available on the day for Posh fans.

A FOOT IN BOTH CAMPS
There have been a few connections down the years between the two sides with the aforementioned Joe Taylor on the books at the Imps and Ethan Hamilton (pictured below), who played a huge part in the 3-3 draw that secured Posh automatic promotion in 2020, ironically against the Imps, also set to come up against his former club.
Among the others to have played for both include; Joe Bursik, Jorge Grant, Harry Anderson, Simon Yeo, Richard Butcher, Jude Stirling, Peter Gain, Lee Frecklington, Ryan Semple, Ben Futcher, Lee Thorpe, Ciaran Toner, Harry Toffolo, Ben Sedgemore and Lee Philpott.
