Team News
Niamh Reynolds and Hayley James could be set to face their former club having both joined from Forest Women this season.
Ahead of their move to a full-time professional club next season, Forest have signed several players this season including former WSL Aston Villa midfielder Alice Keitley, experienced forward Charlie Wellings and Jamiacan International forward Melissa Gem Johnson.
From The Coach
Speaking to Posh+, Assistant Manager Georgia Clarke said: “This Sunday will provide a different test to any side we’ve played so far this season. It might be similar to Loughborough [Lightning] when we didn’t have as much of the ball as we are used to, so we have to focus on how we can play defensively and stay compact as a group, and when we do get the ball it's about how we can use it effectively. We know it’s going to be a tough challenge but it will be a great experience for everyone. We have to go there and make a really good account of ourselves.”
One To Watch
Melissa Gem Johnson and Charlie Wellings currently lead the goalscoring charts for Forest having both netted nine times in 11 matches this campaign.
Last Time In The League Cup
Goals from Niamh Connor, Emily Meli and Renai Bennett secured Posh a 3-0 win against Worcester City in the first round to secure Posh a place in the second round for the first time in their history.
