Posh Under 18s will be seeking a return to winning ways on Saturday (11.30am) when Sheffield Wednesday make the trip south from the Steel City.
Our Under 18s will be looking for a reaction on Saturday (11.30am) after slipping to a 4-1 defeat at Sheffield United last weekend. Lamine Sidibe capitalised on the numerical advantage as the Spaniard completed his hat-trick from the spot, taking United level on points with leaders Burnley.
The next challenge lies with the other side of the Steel City, Sheffield Wednesday, who make the trip having defeated Hull City 4-0 last time out.
Our youngsters lost out by the odd goal in the reverse fixture, as Dominic Weston’s brace cancelled out Joe Davies’ leveller in South Yorkshire.
TEAM NEWS
Davon Gbajumo is suspended following his dismissal last weekend, while Milan Kovaci misses out as he continues his rehabilitation.
Max Beech was handed a boost and could be in contention after a lengthy spell on the sidelines.
THE OPPOSITION
Sheffield Wednesday sit in the upper reaches of the table, having seen nine victories, four draws and six defeats over the course of the campaign. The Owls will look to reignite their early season form and make it back-to-back victories on Saturday, putting them in good stead for the Steel City derby next weekend.
FROM THE MANAGER
Ahead of the game Professional Development Phase (Under 18s) Lead Coach Jimmy Unwin said: “It will be another tough test on Saturday, but it’s one we’re all looking forward to. We’re hoping to build on the positives from last week; putting in more final third entries and hopefully some goals on the board against a really tough opposition.”
